‘The Five-Star Weekend’ Has Officially Been Renewed for Season 2

It’s official: The Five-Star Weekend is Peacock’s most popular scripted series ever, and it’s coming back. The platform confirmed a second season on August 5, less than a month after the show landed record numbers.

Based on Elin Hilderbrand’s novel, the series follows food influencer Hollis Shaw (Jennifer Garner), who — after the sudden death of her husband — pulls together a coastal getaway with five friends. It struck a chord, amassing more than 1.8 billion minutes streamed.

Season 1 wrapped on a tidy note, but clearly left viewers wanting more.

Details on the new season are still thin, but the renewal cements the show as one of Peacock’s biggest hits — and sets up another weekend away.
