Gilmore Girls is getting the documentary treatment. On August 6, it was revealed that the beloved series — centred on Lorelai Gilmore and her teenage daughter Rory — will be the subject of a film offering an insider look at its creation, plus behind-the-scenes footage and insights from the show’s creator and producer.
The as-yet-untitled documentary already has the fanbase clamouring for details (and an extra cup of coffee).
It will be told from the point of view of series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband, executive producer Daniel Palladino.
Fans will be watching to see how many of the original cast take part — but for a show with this devoted a following, a behind-the-scenes deep dive is already reason enough to celebrate.
