The British fashion designer Bella Freud has launched her debut beauty collection, called Glamorama, exclusively at Boots. The range went on sale online and in stores on September 15, 2026, with prices starting from 12 pounds. Freud developed the line with SLG Brands, a beauty product company based in Cheltenham, marking her first move into the category after building her name in fashion and knitwear.
The collection spans several small categories rather than a full makeup range. It includes lip oils, hand care, hair accessories, a compact mirror and a fragrance spray. Freud has framed the line around the idea of beauty as something that lifts a mood rather than corrects a face, and the range leaves out products such as concealer and foundation that are designed to cover flaws. That editing sets the collection apart from a conventional cosmetics launch and reflects the designer’s stated wish to make products tied to feeling and habit rather than correction.
The product Freud has placed at the center of the range is a scented mist named Transference, priced at 15 pounds. She has said she came up with it during lockdown as a way to steady herself in moments of self-doubt, describing it as a gesture a person can reach for rather than a corrective step. The mist is built around orange flower, a note she has linked to memories of her childhood in Morocco.
Freud has spoken about wanting the collection to reflect a comfort with imperfection. Discussing that idea, she said, “I want the flaw to stay because it feels like grit, you know, the thing.” The comment fits the wider positioning of Glamorama, which treats small rituals and personal associations as the point of the products rather than a polished, flawless result.
The line is available through Boots as an exclusive, both on the retailer’s website and across its store network, from the September 15 launch date. Standard delivery through Boots was listed at 3.95 pounds, with free delivery on orders over 25 pounds. The launch represents both Freud’s entry into beauty and a further example of a fashion designer extending a personal brand into scent and grooming through a high street retail partner rather than a standalone boutique, with SLG Brands handling development and manufacturing behind the range.
