Chloé is coming to NK. The French fashion house will open its own department on the ground floor of the Stockholm department store this autumn, covering about 120 square metres. The exact opening date has not been announced yet, but the house has confirmed the size of the space, the product mix and the creative focus, giving a first picture of how the brand will present itself to Swedish customers.
The space will carry ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and accessories, with the emphasis on the most recent collections by creative director Chemena Kamali. Its design is meant to express the house’s continuing exchange between fashion, design and craft. Plans describe clean lines and open areas, furnished with a small selection of pieces and sculptural details rather than crowded rails, so that the clothes and bags remain the focus for shoppers walking in at street level. The idea is a calm, gallery-like room in which the latest ready-to-wear, the bags and the footwear can be seen together as one wardrobe.
The news follows Chloé’s spring/summer 2027 show in Paris, where the Swedish model Noor Khan was among those on the runway. The new department will give Kamali’s work a dedicated setting of its own inside the city’s best-known department store, on the entrance floor where it will be seen by everyone coming in.
Both companies presented the move as a good match. “We are delighted to bring Chloé to NK Stockholm,” said Laurent Malecaze, the chief executive of Chloé, who added that the department would let the house share Kamali’s vision and its spirit with customers in the city. Hannes Hasselrot, chief executive of Nordiska Kompaniet, said the label suits the store. “Chloé is an international luxury house with a strong identity,” he said, noting that its arrival strengthens NK’s fashion offer and adds another international name to the store’s line-up of luxury brands on Hamngatan in central Stockholm, where NK has traded for decades.
Hasselrot added that NK looks forward to welcoming Chloé later this autumn, and further details, including the date of the opening, are expected closer to launch. For now, the plan confirms that Chloé will have its own address on NK’s ground floor, with leather goods, footwear and accessories sold next to ready-to-wear chosen from Kamali’s newest collections.
