Lizzie McGuire may have been an outfit repeater, but Hilary Duff certainly isn’t. The actress and singer turned Madison Square Garden into a millennial wonderland of boas, glitter eyeshadow and butterfly clips for the first of two sold-out stops on her Lucky Me Tour.
“To be honest, repeating outfits is very difficult for me,” she said. Her long-awaited return to the stage gave her the excuse to work with Gianvito Rossi and celebrity stylist Neelo Noory on a run of bespoke looks — metallic silver leather boots, a flower-adorned chainmail top, and more.
Backstage, the prep was refreshingly low-key: she readied for the MSG show with a round of mahjong and an Aperol spritz.
The result was pure millennial nostalgia dialled up for an arena — proof that the early-2000s icon has grown into a genuine style force.
