The Seven Beauty Products an Editor Wore All Summer and Won’t Put Down

Every summer throws up a handful of products that quietly become non-negotiable, and ELLE’s beauty editor Veronica Henriksson has settled on seven she is carrying straight into autumn. The common thread is ease: scent, hydration and glow, with nothing that asks too much of you in the heat.

Fragrance does a lot of the work. She reached repeatedly for Marc Jacobs’ playful mists in Lemon Spritz and Tropical Glow, the kind of light, effervescent scent that is easy to throw in a bag, and for the Acne x Frédéric Malle body-care duo that made an ordinary shower feel like a small indulgence. Sol de Janeiro’s fast-absorbing Body Badalada lotion, in a handy travel size, rounded out the summer-holiday kit.

On the skincare-meets-makeup front, the standouts were Anua’s PDRN Hydrating Capsule Mist — built around the much-hyped PDRN and hyaluronic acid for a glass-skin finish, and handy for spritzing onto makeup brushes — and Chanel’s Rouge Coco Hydra Gloss, which delivers shine and hydration in one. Ceremonia’s precision-dosed dry shampoo powder stretched the days between washes, and Natasha Denona’s HY-GEN Primer Serum in Bronze added a hydrated, sun-kissed glow. None of them are complicated, which is rather the point.
