New York Fashion Week returned in September 2026 with a run of spring/summer 2027 shows that drew actors, musicians and models to the front row. Guests arrived in looks pulled from the season’s collections, and several dressed in pieces that matched the house whose show they attended.
At Ralph Lauren, Viola Davis wore a cable-knit sleeveless turtleneck with a dark brown leather skirt and matching knee-high boots. Cynthia Erivo chose a military-style jacket with flared trousers and a Parisian beret, while Rachel Brosnahan paired a brown belted jacket with wool-blend trousers and carried a top-handle tote as a clutch. Elizabeth Debicki kept to a caramel palette built from an Oxford shirt, a suit tie, a trench coat and pleated trousers.
Coach marked its 85th birthday with a show that brought out Elle Fanning in a leopard-print coat, a red leather skirt and a black beret from the Resort 2027 range, while Storm Reid wore a multicolored gingham mini dress and carried a chestnut Tabby bag. At Thom Browne, Demi Moore appeared in a zip-up bomber jacket with a silk organza skirt set, Naomi Watts wore a cable-knit sweater vest with Bermuda shorts, and Ellen Pompeo turned up in a skirt suit with a cropped button-down and a bubblegum pink tie.
Pamela Anderson attended two shows. At Carolina Herrera she wore a tomato-red sweater, a floral pencil skirt and a metallic gold overcoat, then changed into a square-neck midi dress with pointed black pumps for Calvin Klein. Camila Mendes styled a leopard-print calf-length skirt with a black turtleneck at Carolina Herrera. Calvin Klein also seated Rosalia in a black tank top and satin column skirt, Katie Holmes in a cream tea-length skirt with a white Oxford shirt, and Emily Ratajkowski in a semi-sheer turtleneck with leather trousers.
Other houses drew their own crowds. Kate Moss sat front row at Tommy Hilfiger in a blue button-down, flared indigo denim and pointed pumps. Michael Kors hosted Gabrielle Union in a red knit maxi dress with a matching layered sweater and Jordyn Woods in a feathery tank and a black-and-white pencil skirt. Across the week, tailoring, leather skirts and berets recurred, and several guests leaned on neutral tones and preppy layering as the shows previewed the spring 2027 season.
